Financial Clerk - Micro finance -Silverton, Pretoria  R 5000 pm 

Claims Handler - Legal Firm - Brooklyn R10 000 pm plus commission.                  

My client is a international Legal firm that handles Motor vehicle accident claims on behalf of insurance companies.

The employees will handle a case load of Road Traffic Accident claims representing the non fault injured client in pursuing a claim for compensation against the at-fault third party.
The claims will be allocated to the employees once the initial activity of contracting with the client has been completed until the claim either settles or requires litigation 
The claims must be handled in accordance with all court rules, client protocols and internal procedures 

Key Activities 

Telephoning the client upon receipt of the instruction to confirm the accident circumstances, the injuries sustained and the financial losses associated with the accident
Recover evidence from the client relating to the financial losses and a prepare a schedule of loss 
Recover the medico-legal report from the agency 
Review the medical report and evidence relating to financial loss and advise the client on the value of their claim and the prospects of recovery 
Telephone the client to go through the advice 
Disclose evidence and seek settlement of the clients claim 

 

Commercial Attorney - Cape Town

Market Related Salary

My client is a well established law firm with a national footprint. They are looking for a commercial attorney to join them in the Cape Town office. The office was started nearly 15 years ago and initially focussed purely on medical litigation work. There are 12 attorneys in the Cape Town office doing predominantly litigation orientated work. They are looking for an attorney with a growing commercial orientated practice (not less than 100 billable hours per month) looking to work with competent colleagues, offering security, infrastructure and solid career prospects.

The candidate should be at associate/senior associate level (ie 5 - 6 years post admission) with partnership ambitions. To be a partner the candidate must consistently debit 1500 hours per annum. It would be ideal if the candidate had a trademark/IP/tax law background.  My client is looking toward long term expansion and to add to the non-medical/general litigation services currently offered by this office.
